Tina Crosbie

Tina Crosbie Nurse Practitioner/Sexual Dysfunction (penis owners)

Tina qualified in nursing in December 1986 and began her career in paediatrics where she developed a deep passion for caring for young patients. Soon after, she transitioned to adult nursing, working in acute receiving units for emergency departments and medical wards. In 2000, she found her true calling in haematology.
Her journey brought her to Perth in 2005, where she continued work in haematology. Since arriving in Australia, she has been dedicated to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, initially as the Clinical Nurse Specialist in haematology. Here, she had the privilege of caring for patients with various haematological malignancies and played a key role in expanding the stem cell transplant service from around 10 transplants to approximately 55-60 transplants annually.
Tina then took on the role of Clinical Nurse Manager in Oncology, where she had the pleasure of supporting patients with solid tumours, including prostate cancers. Tina found this incredibly rewarding to provide comprehensive cancer care and support to these patients and their families.
Continuing her commitment to education and professional growth, she pursued a Master’s degree and qualified as a Nurse Practitioner in 2010. She has since served as the Nurse Practitioner in Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Currently, she is completing her PhD at the University of Western Australia, focusing on enhancing the journey of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation. Tina has published several papers on stem cell transplant and supportive care and is passionate about sharing her knowledge through presentations and poster sessions at conferences both in Australia and internationally. Additionally, she has been honoured to serve on various advisory boards and conduct service reviews interstate.

With extensive background in cancer care, Tina has had the privilege of supporting patients and their families through challenging times, particularly those dealing with issues after prostatectomy and prostate cancer treatment. This experience has been incredibly rewarding and has prepared her well for transitioning to the private health system.

In the private sector, she is committed to going the extra mile to provide personalised care that often isn’t available in the public health system. Tina’s goal is to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of support and attention, making their journey as comfortable and positive as possible.
